A stinky situation broke out during Friday night's Navy vs. SMU contest, delaying the game briefly.
After an SMU touchdown, the team's longtime mascot, Peruna, a black Shetland pony, charged onto the field to celebrate, as is customary. Only this time, Peruna may have gotten a tad bit too excited and left a few smelly presents behind on the field.
The Navy/SMU was delayed 15 minutes after the SMU pony pooped on the field after a TD.

While we're used to seeing games delayed due to inclement weather, or even the odd yahoo running onto the field, horse manure has to be a first.
Peruna's droppings halted play for nearly 15 minutes while crews on the field cleaned up the mess. Play eventually resumed, with SMU walking away with a 40-34 victory.
Quarterback Tanner Mordecai led the way for SMU, finishing 20-of-27 for 336 yards and three touchdowns through the air, adding 74 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground.
